Swagger is back with season two after having its world premiere at Tribeca. Starting off with a time jump, the Swagger crew is now in their senior year playing high school ball while juggling college offers left and right. But when their past catches up with them, they have to decide what being a 24-hour person truly means.

I talked to Quvenzhané Wallis, who plays Crystal, and Isaiah Hill, who plays Jace talk about how they felt when they realized their characters were no longer on the best terms after the time jump, how their characters’ relationship is similar to Love & Basketball, channeling Crystal’s confidence, and Isaiah’s motivational saying and dealing with imposter syndrome.

I talked to Orlando Jones, who plays Emory, Shinelle Azoroh, who plays Jenna, and Tristan Mack Wilds, who plays Alonzo about their relationship with Jace, how Orlando’s character Emory is different that his Drumline character Dr. Lee, and dealing with Jace’s coach, Ike.

I talked to creator Reggie Rock Bythewood about why he decided to do a time jump, putting the characters in a new environment, if Ike and Jace’s relationship is healthy, and the possibility of a season 3.

Swagger is now on Apple TV+.
