This Fool, the Hulu original series created by and starring Chris Estrada is back this summer with a season 2. After Julio’s cousin Luis moves back in after doing time in jail, Julio has to adjust while balancing his love life and career at Hugs Not Thugs. The season 1 finale saw Julio and Luis move out, the end of Julio and Maggie’s relationship, and Luis starting a new job.

I talked to creator/star Chris Estrada, who plays Julio, and star Frankie Quiñones, who plays Luis, before their panel at ATX TV Festival about how hard it is to not break character, real-life inspiration, why they tore apart Hugs Not Thugs, and what to expect from season 2.

This Fool season 2 premieres July 28th on Hulu.
