See You On Venus is a romantic traumedy (trauma comedy) about Mia, who after aging out of the foster system on her 18th birthday goes to Spain to find her birth mother. She gets Kyle, a guy she met through a chance encounter, to come along to drive since she has no license. With the beautiful landscape of Spain as a backdrop, we see Mia and Kyle go on a journey of healing. While Mia feels like she running toward her mother, she actually running away from something as well.

I talked to Virginia Gardner, who plays Mia, and Alex Aiono, who plays Kyle about becoming close friends, their favorite part of filming in Spain, what songs they put on the playlists they made their characters, and what is their “Venus.”
