In “Crown Vic,” episode 5 of season 2 of Power Book IV: Force, everything is turned upside down. In a betrayal mission, the Flynn patriarch Walter, and his right-hand man Paulie are killed, Jenard goes further down the road of addiction, and D-Mac’s refusal to stay in the house leads to consequences he never considered.

I talked to director Lisa Demaine about the Flynn family dynamic, including Walter and Paulie’s death Claudia’s blind ambition and Vic wanting out, Jenard’s addiction, and tenuous relationships in Tommy’s family, including Kate, JP, and D-Mac.
