In The Know, the new stop-motion animated show from Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt-Head, Silicon Valley, King of the Hill), Zach Woods (Silicon Valley, The Office), and Brandon Gardner, is Peacock’s first adult animated show. This workplace comedy centered around the staff of In The Know with Lauren Caspian, the NPR host who has zero self-awareness and does off-the-wall interviews with stars like Hugh Laurie, Finn Wolfhard, and Kaia Gerber.

The voiceover Cast consists of Zach Woods (Silicon Valley, The Office) as Lauren Caspian, Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt-Head, Silicon Valley, King of the Hill) as Sandy, Caitlin Reilly (Loot, Hacks) as Fabian, Charlie Bushnell (Diary of a Future President, Percy Jackson and The Olympians) as Chase, J. Smith-Cameron (Succession, Rectify) as Barb, and Carl Tart (Grand Crew) as Carl.

And the live-action guests are Kaia Gerber, Jonathan Van Ness, Ken Burns, Finn Wolfhard, Norah Jones, Tegan and Sara, Nicole Byer, Roxane Gay, Mike Tyson, Jorge Masvidal, Hugh Laurie.

I talked to J. Smith Cameron and Carl Tart about Barb and Carl’s relationship, why Lauren wants Carl’s phone number so bad, and which scene would they have loved to act out.

I talked to Caitlin Relly and Charlie Bushnell about why Charlie likes working at NPR, what Fabian would think of Caitlin’s skits, Fabian’s connection to Jorge Masvidal and what outfit would they love an animated version of themselves to wear.

I talked to co-creator Brandon Gardner about how they chose guests and their unscripted interviews, why the show is making fun of him and Zach Woods as NPR listeners, the “twee” animation style, and what Lauren Caspian’s feelings would be on podcasts.

In The Know premieres January 25th on Peacock.
