The Prank is set in your typical high school; the lunch ladies guard everything, students are just trying to make it to graduation, and some teachers are just plain mean. However, when best friends Tanner and Ben decide to start a rumor about a mean teacher, maybe the lies aren’t completely untrue.

The Prank stars Connor Kalopsis, Ramona Young, Rita Moreno, Keith David, Kate Flannery, Meredith Salenger, Jonathan Kimmel, Nathan Janak, Betsy Sodaro, and Romel De Silva.

I talked to Kate Flannery, who plays lunch lady Loretta, about why lunch ladies get a bad rap, what she was like in high school, why she is glad that social media didn’t exist when she was in school, why she likes to play sarcastic characters, and if Loreta and her The Office character, Meredith, would be friends.

The Prank is now playing in theatres.
