“WondLa”, based on the book series “The Search for WondLa” by Tony DiTerlizzi (“The Spiderwick Chronicles”) is about a teenage girl named Eva, who has been isolated in a pod her entire life, being raised by a robot named Muthr. After her pod is compromised, she is finally introduced into a new world with new creatures and living beings. She starts her search for WondLa, a place where she thinks she will find other human beings like herself.

“WondLa” stars Jeanine Mason (“Roswell, New Mexico”), Teri Hatcher (“Desperate Housewives”), Brad Garrett (“Everybody Loves Raymond”), Gary Anthony Williams (“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows”), Chiké Okonkwo (“The Birth of a Nation,” “La Brea”), D.C. Douglas (“Sharknado 2: The Second One,” “Black Ops”), and Alan Tudyk (“Resident Alien”).

I talked to Jeanine Mason, who voices Eva, about which scene she would love to act out, how she was the basis of Eva’s physical look, Eva and Muthr’s relationship, and the difference between voice acting and live-action acting.

Wondla premieres Friday, June 29th on Apple TV +.
