“Cruel Intentions,” the television based on the classic ‘90s movie , has a familiar face. Sean Patrick Thomas, who originally played Ronald Clifford, is back as Professor Chadwick, a new take on the character. His teacher assistant is CeCe, the second in command to sorority president Caroline. They have a special connection, intellectually challenging each other, but will their relationship ever cross the line?
“Cruel Intentions” stars Sarah Catherine Hook as “Caroline Merteuil”, Zac Burgess as “Lucien Belmont”, Savannah Lee Smith as “Annie Grover”, Sara Silva as “Cece Carroway”, John Harlan Kim as “Blaise Powell”, Khobe Clarke as “Scott Russell”, Sean Patrick Thomas as “Professor Hank Chadwick”, and Brooke Lena Johnson as “Beatrice Worth”.
I talked to Sara Silva and Sean Patrick Thomas about CeCe and Professor Chadwick’s special connection, what it was like for Sean to revisit his “Cruel Intentions” character in this way and wanting to revisit his “Save The Last Dance” character, what lie would be like for CeCe without Caraoline after graduation, and how corrupt power plays into the show.
Cruel Intentions is now streaming on Prime Video on Amazon.
