Harlem just finished its third and final season. However, this season is different than series creator Tracy Oliver had originally planned. When she had written the season two cliffhanger with one of the core four being pregnant, she had another woman in mind. However, after finding out that season three would probably be the last season, she reworked season three to get the ending she had always planned.

Harlem stars Meagan Good, Jerrie Johnson, Grace Byers, Shoniqua Shandai, and Tyler Lepley with recurring cast members Logan Browning, Gail Bean, and Kofi Siriboe.

I talked to Harlem creator Tracey Oliver about how the Girls Trip musical came about and if she would like to see it in real life, why they decided to do the “Drugs in My Booty” song, why Mike was trying to dim Angie’s light, which woman was supposed to be pregnant, what was going to happen in a planned season 4, reworking Quinn, and if she took anything from set.

Harlem is now streaming on Prime Video on Amazon.
