1923, Yellowstone origin story, is back for its second season. Teonna Rainwater is on the run after escaping the cruel Catholic boarding school run by headmaster Father Renaud. A new character, Marshall Mamie Fossett meets Mamie Fossett is his quest to find Teonna.

1923 stars Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, Brandon Sklenar, Julia Schlaepfer, Jerome Flynn, Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Michelle Randolph, Sebastian Roché, Timothy Dalton and Jennifer Carpenter.

I talked to Aminah Nieves, who plays Teonna Rainwater, about what is Teonna’s mindset this season and getting to film lighter scenes this season as Teonna feels safer as she is around her own people. I talked Jennifer Carpenter, who plays Mamie Foessett, what was going through Mamie’s head when she meets Father Renaud and why Mamie has a different approach to life enforcement and works with the indigenous people compared to other marshalls.
