Cold Wallet, the indie thriller which premiered at 2024’s SXSW, is about a CEO of a cryptocurrency who fakes his own death in order to steal millions from the cryptos’ users. However, when three vigilantes comes to get back the money, chaos ensues.

Cold Wallet stars Raul Castillo (Smile 2), Melonie Diaz (Charmed), Tony Cavalero (The Righteous Gemstones), Josh Brener (Silicon Valley) and Zoe Winters (Succession).

I talked to Josh Brener, who plays Charles, and director Cutter Hodierne about why Charles has no remorse, shooting with duct taped hands, filming in freezing weather, and Charles being like a manipulative contestant on “Survivor.”
