Tyler Perry’s Duplicity is about Marley, a lawyer who has to take on a very personal case. After her friend, an unarmed Black man is killed by a cop, she helps her friend sue the city to get justice. But not everything is what it seems and soon Marley realizes her inner circle has other sides she hasn’t seen before.

I talked to Kat Graham, who plays Marley, about how this role hit so close to home, what she thinks about Marley’s motto “how you do one thing is how you do everything,” and what her two different sides are.
