Dope Thief, the crime drama mini-series on Apple TV +, is about Ray and Manny, two childhood friends in Philadelphia who pretend to be DEA agents to steal drugs and money. But when they bust the wrong house, which happens to be occupied by undercover DEA agent Mina, they soon find out they have pulled a string that unravels one of the biggest hidden narcotics corridors on the Eastern Seaboard.

Dope Thief stars Brian Tyree Henry, Wagner Moura, Marin Ireland, Kate Mulgrew, Nesta Cooper, Amir Arison, and Ving Rhames.

I talked to Marin Ireland, who plays Mina, about why Mina is so focused on taking down Ray and how she protected her voice throughout the show. I talked to Amir Arison, who plays Mark, about what his character thinks of Mina’s mindset and what his main objective when it comes to Manny and Ray.

Dope Thief is now streaming with new episodes on Fridays on Apple TV +.

You can buy the book the series is based on Dope Thief by Dennis Tofaya on Amazon.
