The Pickup, the new action comedy starring Eddie Murphy, Keke Palmer, and Pete Davidson is about Russell and Travis, two totally opposite armored truck drivers who are robbed by Zoe, who just happens to be Travis’ date from the night before. More chaos ensues when they are then caught up in her scheme of robbing a casino.

During the press conference, stars Eddie Murphy, Pete Davidson, and Keke Palmer shared their experiences making the movie. Eddie Murphy said it reminded him of a classic ’80s buddy film, while Pete described it as more of an early 2000s comedy. Tim talked about finally getting the chance to work with Eddie Murphy, which is something he’d been trying to do throughout his career. Keke spoke about working with her idol, Eddie, and how collaborating with him on The Pickup influenced her performance in One of Them Days. Pete also mentioned how much he appreciated that Tim let them improvise throughout the movie.
