On season 4 of The Mayor of Kingstown, new correctional officer Cindy Stephens offers to watch over Kyle for Mike while he’s in jail. However, she realizes that being a CO in Kingstown Prison and being a part of Mike’s life isn’t as easy as she had hoped it would be.

Mayor of Kingstown stars Jeremy Renner (“Mike McLusky”), Edie Falco (“Nina Hobbs”), Lennie James (“Frank Moses”), Laura Benanti (“Cindy Stephens”), Hugh Dillon (“Ian Ferguson”), Taylor Handley (“Kyle McLusky”), Tobi Bamtefa (“Bunny Washington”), Derek Webster (“Stevie”), Hamish Allan- Headley (“Robert”) Nishi Munshi (“Tracy McLuskey”) and Richard Brake (“Merle Callahan”).

I talked to Laura Benati about why Cindy saved Kyle, Cindy’s reaction to Kevin’s death, and how she actually had a different reaction while filming it, if Cindy could be a part of Mike’s lifestyle, if Cindy could still work at the prison after all that has happened, and a major difference between working in theatre and television.

Mayor of Kingstown is streaming on Paramount +.
