Cross is back with season 2! There is a new serial killer on the loose, and of course Alex is on the case. This time, his partner of Kayla, while John is handling a more personal case. However, Kayla is also handling another problem from her past that her boss, Roy McElhannon, (played by show creator Ben Watkins) brings into the present that can upend her entire life.

Cross stars Aldis Hodge, Isaiah Mustafa, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Juanita Jennings, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, and Johnny Ray Gill with new season two cast additions Matthew Lillard, Jeanine Mason and Wes Chatham.

I talked to Ben Watkins about why the character of Roy McElhannon was the role that got him back into acting after a 10 year break, the audition process, and how this season is about questioning the systems you’ve dedicated your life to.
