On Season 2 of Cross, Alex is navigating new complications in relationships with two people who are close to him. Elle and Alex are broken up, but she is still close to his children. Also, Alex has been keeping a secret from John for years that has finally come out in the open.

Cross stars Aldis Hodge, Isaiah Mustafa, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Juanita Jennings, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, and Johnny Ray Gill with new season two cast additions Matthew Lillard, Jeanine Mason, and Wes Chatham.

I talked to Isaiah Mustafa, who plays Detective John Sampson, about Nanamama and Alex keeping his mom a secret from John, and if they should have told him, and what it was like working on a case without Alex. I talked to Samantha Walkes, who plays Elle Monteiro, about whether it is healthy and sustainable for Elle to still have a relationship with Alex’s kids, Janie and Damon.
