In Grind, the horror-comedy anthology that had its premiere at SXSW, is about the grind of modern-day work, including MLM, the gig economy, entry-level jobs, and unions. In one chapter of the movie, Sarah is trying to sell leggings, but seems to keep breaking every insane rule that The Founder laid out, resulting in crazy curses, including every food she likes turning into glitter.

Grind stars Rob Huebel, Barbara Crampton, Vinny Thomas, Jessika Van, Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette, James Urbaniak, Courtney Pauroso, James Paxton, Ify Nwadiwe, and Aubrey Shea.

I talked to Barbara Crampton, who plays The Founder, and Jessika Van, who plays Sarah, about why both their characters got into the leggings pyramid scheme, what food they would be willing to still eat even if it turns into glitter, and how the LuLaRoe documentary and cult-like structure influenced the movie.
