[SXSW] [Interview] Grind’s James Urbaniak & Ify Nwadiwe on Message Boards, Swordsmanship & Being Too Dedicated To Work

In the horror-comedy anthology movie, Grind, one chapter includes Richard, an ex-Dragon employee, trying to get a man on the inside to tear down the evil corporation. On the other side of the coin, one of the chapters features Todd, a dedicated manager of a coffee shop who isn’t excited about the union meeting his fellow employees are having. The film at its premiere at SXSW.

Grind stars Rob Huebel, Barbara Crampton, Vinny Thomas, Jessika Van, Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette, James Urbaniak, Courtney Pauroso, James Paxton, Ify Nwadiwe, and Aubrey Shea.

I spoke with James Urbaniak, who plays Richard, about when and why Richard distrusts the Dragon Corporation, and whether Todd would be a good Inside Man. I tasked Ify Nwadiwe, who plays Todd, with why Todd takes his job so seriously, whether Todd has any interest in moving up the Dragon Corporation, or if his career ambitions are limited to the coffee shop.
