Smino just released new merchandise last week, but he tweeted today the reason behind the satin in his Zero Fatigue hoodie:
<blockquote class=”twitter-tweet” data-lang=”en”><p lang=”en” dir=”ltr”>i made dese satin for ppl w/ hair who like napping in hoodies . <a href=”https://t.co/VvlO6yAe97″>https://t.co/VvlO6yAe97</a> (the last pic how happy u gone look wen u wake up like Beyoncé) <a href=”https://t.co/HXQmbJkopA”>pic.twitter.com/HXQmbJkopA</a></p>— Smi (@smino) <a href=”https://twitter.com/smino/status/980877811220086784?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>April 2, 2018</a></blockquote>

Twitter responded well to this, with many users saying this was a great idea. It definitely fit into his brand; his 2017 blkswn featured the song, “Silk Pillows” and he is known for wearing durags to protect his hair.
Hours after Smino’s tweet, the hoodie sold out.
I think Smino really struck a cord with the hair protecting hoodie since protecting the integrity of your style while sleeping can be quite difficult. I hope he restocks the hoodie and also make a version of it using the “Wild Irish Roses” artwork.
