One of the noticeable changes in the music industry that I have seen since COVID has been how artists perform music. Concerts aren’t possible at the moment, and it doesn’t look like they will be in the near future. Artists have been performing from their homes, but there are limitations to at-home performance when it comes to production value.
Or so you would think. Chloe X Halle early on figured out how to bring the vision that they had for their latest album, Ungodly Hour, to life. They took advantage of being in the same household, not having to have a split-screen to perform together. But they elevated it even more, bringing elements from their music videos into their live performances, such as the lights they stand within and the styling of their clothes. They also used choreography and set design to make their performances be less “bare bones” and more so an actual performance, with the only thing missing is a live audience.
Check out how Chloe X Halle took lemons and made them into lemonade with these live performances below.
