Wondla, the new animated series based on the series of books by Tony DiTerlizzi is about Eva, a human raised in isolation by a robot. This isn’t the first adaption of Tony DiTerlizzi work. Previously, his Spiderwick Chronicles series has been adapted into a live-action movie and a TV series.
“WondLa” stars Jeanine Mason (“Roswell, New Mexico”), Teri Hatcher (“Desperate Housewives”), Brad Garrett (“Everybody Loves Raymond”), Gary Anthony Williams (“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows”), Chiké Okonkwo (“The Birth of a Nation,” “La Brea”), D.C. Douglas (“Sharknado 2: The Second One,” “Black Ops”), and Alan Tudyk (“Resident Alien”).
I talked to Wondla author Tony DiTerlizzi about why Wondla was perfect for an animated series instead of a live-action adaption, and what scene he was excited to see come to life, if he would rather drive the goldfish or Otto, and which character he relates to most.
Wondla is now streaming on Apple TV +.
