Emperor of Ocean Park, based on the best-selling novel, is about the Garland family and the tangled webs they’ve intentionally, and unintentionally, have weaved. After the death of their father, siblings Addison, Mariah, and Talcott, have to deal with his action, including providing information to an arrangement they have no idea about.

I talked to Torrey Hanson, who plays Jack Ziegler, and Jasmine Batchelor, who plays Maxine, about whether their characters ever cared about the Garland family, if the Garlands are too trusting, why Jack and Maxine would never mess with Mariah, and if they could ever be in their characters line of work in real life.
