MJ The Musical, featuring the music of Michael Jackson, follows Michael Jackson during the rehearsals of his Dangerous Tour. He going over budget and everyone is trying to reel him in, but he’s trying to outdo himself and make everything perfect. As a journalist is trying to do a story from MTV, we hear more about Michael Jackson’s life and what drives him to be perfect and take risks in his art.

I talked to Erik Hamilton, who plays Michael, about what it takes to master the moonwalk, what it is like to perform the show in Motown, his favorite Michael Jackson song to perform, and which artist he would love to perform a musical featuring their music.
