“Cross,” based on the Alex Cross series by James Patterson, is the new Prime Video series starring Aldis Hodge. As a forensic detective, he has special skills to solve cases. But with dealing with his own grief and a serial killer, he might just be pushed to the edge.

“Cross” also Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, Jennifer Wigmore, Eloise Mumford, and Ryan Eggold.

I talked to Showrunner, Creator, and Executive Producer Ben Watkins about the first time Alex Cross is vulnerable, a tense dinner conversation about police funding and Black Lives Matter, and Washington DC being a character on the show.
