Six The Musical, the production about King Henry VIII’s six ex-wives, Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard, and Catherine Parr, is a concert-like show where each wife shares their story and they compete to be the leader of their girl group. The show’s music is influenced by modern day pop divas like Beyoncé, Adele, Rihanna, and Ariana Grande.

I talked to Chani Maisonet, who plays Catherine of Aragon, about her favorite songs from on her Queen’s influence, Beyoncé, and shared some of her personal influences, like Selena, how the queens built up their stamina for the 90-minute concert-like musical, and which other Queen she would love to play.
