St. Denis Medical, the new workplace comedy from Superstore creator Justin Spritzer and Eric Ledgin, is about the staff in the emergency center at St. Denis Medical Center in Oregon. They are being filmed for a documentary, so all their eccentric behavior and eclectic patients are being captured. Although the days may be rough, they truly care about each other, and everyone who comes to St. Denis.

St. Denis Medical stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, David Alan Grier, Allison Tolman, Josh Lawson, Kahyun Kim, Mekki Leeper and Kaliko Kauahi.

I talked to Josh Lawson, who plays surgeon Dr. Bruce, about what Dr. Bruce and his Superstore character, pharmacist Dr. Tate, would think of each other, what songs are on Dr. Bruce’s surgery playlist, and what songs are on his personal playlist, what was the most outrageous scene to film, and how he got used to looking into the camera while filming a mockumentary.
