Cold Wallet is a Robinhood-esque crypto heist that premiered at 2024’s SXSW festival. After the head of a cryptocurrency company scams everyone out of their money, three down-on-their-luck people go to his secluded mansion to try to get the money back for everyone.

Cold Wallet stars Raul Castillo (Smile 2), Melonie Diaz (Charmed), Tony Cavalero (The Righteous Gemstones), Josh Brener (Silicon Valley) and Zoe Winters (Succession).

I talked to Raul Castillo, who plays Billy, and Melonie Diaz, who plays Eva, about if their characters’ really plan on giving the money back to everyone and who their characters trust the least, why Billy is so angry, and if they have any interest in crypto.

Cold Wallet is now available on digital and is playing at select theatres.
