Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue, the new series from TV writer and novelist Anthony Horowitz, moves away from the “cozy crime” that Horowitz is known for. It has elements of horror, including gory deaths and a killer in a hood.

Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue stars Eric McCormack, David Ajala, Lydia Wilson, Peter Gadiot, Siobhán McSweeney, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Adam Long and Jan Le.

I talked to the show writer and creator Anthony Horowitz about being fair to the audience in writing the show so that they could figure out who the murder is, but still be surprised and intrigued along the way, how did he decided who would die each episode, and what he hoping he had a phone if he was in the jungle.

Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue airs Sundays on MGM +.
