On Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Kanan pays back the money Snaps and Pop gave him to start up his drug business. However, they didn’t see it as a loan, but an investment, so despite wanting to be an independent, Snaps and Pop still own a part of his business.

Power Book III: Raising Kanan stars Patina Miller, MeKai Curtis, London Brown, Malcolm Mays, Hailey Kilgore, Joey Bada$$, Wendell Pierce, Erika Woods, Tony Danza, and new additions, Pardison Fontaine as “B-Rilla” and Chris Redd as “Early Tyler,” Sibongile Mlambo as “Imani Okoye” and Paul Ben-Victor as “Phil Russo.”

I talked to Wendell Pierce, who plays Snaps, and Ericka Woods, who plays Pop, about if they Snaps and Pop invested in Kanan knowing he was going to fail and wanting to own a piece of Raq’s kid, Snaps and Pops sweet relationships and how the built that chemistry with a backstory, and who is more dangerous, Snaps or Pops.
