Hacks is back with season 4, and with an ongoing rift with Ava and Marcus transitioning out of his role, Deborah is leaning more on other members of her team, including Damien. In episode 4, “I Love La,” she invites him out to dinner to celebrate the airing of her first show, but the night quickly takes unexpected turns after Damien expresses his frustration with dating in LA, and they end up at a club.
Hacks stars Six-time Emmy® winner and Tony Award® nominee Jean Smart, three-time Emmy® nominee and Critics Choice Award winner Hannah Einbinder, three-time Emmy® winner Paul W. Downs, SAG Award® nominee Megan Stalter, Emmy® nominee Carl Clemons-Hopkins, SAG Award® nominee Mark Indelicato, and SAG Award® nominee Rose Abdoo return alongside Dan Bucatinsky, Helen Hunt, Tony Goldwyn, Kaitlin Olson, Jane Adams, Lauren Weedman, Christopher McDonald, Poppy Liu, Lorenza Izzo, Johnny Sibilly, Paul Felder, Polly Draper, Luenell, and Aristotle Athari. Previously announced new cast members include Julianne Nicholson, Michaela Watkins, Bresha Webb, Robby Hoffman, Eric Balfour, Danny Jolles, Gavin Matts, Grover Whitmore, III, Holmes, Jasmine Ashanti, Katy Sullivan, Matt Oberg, and Sandy Honig.
I talked to Mark Indelicato, who plays Damien, about his dream guest and musical guest on Deborah’s Late Night show, why he is close to his costars from Ugly Betty and Hacks, and how he wants to “Grey’s Anatomy’s” Hacks and do it for 17 years.
Hacks is streaming on max with new episodes on Thursdays.
