The Better Sister, the thriller crime series from Prime Video, is about two estranged sister that come back together after Chloe (Jessica Biel) husband is killed and her step son is accused of murdering him. But here’s one (of many) twists: her step-son is her nephew and his ex-wife is her sister, Nicky (Elizabeth Banks).

The series stars Jessica Biel as Chloe Taylor, Elizabeth Banks as Nicky Macintosh, Corey Stoll as Adam Macintosh, Kim Dickens as Detective Nancy Guidry, Maxwell Acee Donovan as Ethan Macintosh, Bobby Naderi as Detective Matt Bowen, Gabriel Sloyer as Jake Rodriguez, Gloria Reuben as Michelle Sanders, with Matthew Modine as Bill Braddock, and Lorraine Toussaint as Catherine Lancaster.

I talked to Maxwell Donovan, who plays Ethan, Gloria Reuben, who plays Michelle, and Gabriel Sloyer who plays Jake about sibling relationships, shooting in New York City and the Hamptons, and if they read the book before doing the series or if they tried to keep it separate.
