On The Better Sister, sisters Chloe and Nicky are working to protect their son Ethan after he is accused of murdering his father. However, with Detective Nancy Guidry on their case, literally and figuratively, it becomes more challenging to hide the many secrets they have. Her partner, Detective Matt Bowen, is trying to work the case fairly and doesn’t have the same bone to pick with the sisters.

The series stars Jessica Biel as Chloe Taylor, Elizabeth Banks as Nicky Macintosh, Corey Stoll as Adam Macintosh, Kim Dickens as Detective Nancy Guidry, Maxwell Acee Donovan as Ethan Macintosh, Bobby Naderi as Detective Matt Bowen, Gabriel Sloyer as Jake Rodriguez, Gloria Reuben as Michelle Sanders, with Matthew Modine as Bill Braddock, and Lorraine Toussaint as Catherine Lancaster.

I talked to Bobby Naderi, who plays Detective Matt Bowen, about what his character thinks of Chloe and Nicky’s family drama, what he thinks of his partner, Nancy, and what it was like for his character to have a culture and for it to be highlighted.
