The Institute, the new MGM+ series based on the Stephen King book and executive produced by Jack Bender (From) is about a government program that kidnaps gifted children and uses them to conduct mysterious, destructive, and cruel experiments. But when Ms. Sigbi, one of the leaders of the program, kidnaps Luke, he decides to rebel and find a way to get out.

The Institute stars Mary-Louise Parker, Ben Barnes, Joe Freeman, Simone Miller, Fionn Laird, Hannah Galway, Julian Richings, Robert Joy, and Martin Roach.

I talked to Joe Freeman, who plays Luke, Simone Miller, who plays Kalisha, and Fionn Laird, who plays Nicky about what super power they wish they had, if Ms. Sigbi would sacrifice herself for the cause, why George believes they are going home if they follow the rules, if Avery actually planned on leaving, the alternative ending and what they hope to happen in season 2.

The Institute is now streaming on MGM +.
