I’ve been waiting to go to a K-Pop show for years now. The lightsticks, the choreography, the costume changes, infectious songs, I know as a concert lover I had to experience it for myself. So when TWICE announced their This Is For World tour, I was so excited it was coming to Detroit.

There wasn’t a bad seat in the house with the stage design. There are three stages were built in the center of the arena, so there was no blind spots. Also, the girls rotated and danced 360 degrees, meaning they didn’t favor any side and everyone got to see their faces.

The ladies played several songs off their latests album THIS IS FOR and TEN: The Story Goes On. I was especially excited to hear “Strategy,” and “Takedown” from K-Pop Demon Hunters. The hooman was definitely sealed. A standout moment was when the singers got to perform their solo songs from TEN, including my favorite “MEEEEE.”

They closed off the show by letting the fans pick their final song. It came down to “Alcohol Free” and “Donut,” with the girls picking “Alcohol Free.” TWICE was having so much fun, they decided to do an another song, closed out with “Donut.”

I’m excited for more K-Pop acts to Stateside, and can’t wait to see TWICE again.
