On season 2 of The Rainmaker, Tommy, Bruiser’s ex husband, is in some trouble after purposely having his baseball team lose games. Boone, his innocent star player, has no idea that he is apart of this drama, even when he has to give his testimony in court.

The Rainmaker stars Milo Callaghan (Dune: Prophecy), Lana Parrilla (Once Upon a Time), P.J. Byrne (The Five-Star Weekend), Madison Iseman (Jumanji: The Next Level), Merle Dandrige (The Last of Us), Richard Kind (Argo), Austin Nichols (I Know What You Did Last Summer), Asher De Land, Libby Kay, Kevin Ryan, Tim Murphy, John Slattery and Karen Bryson.

I talked to Liam O’Halloran, who plays Boone McCready, about how he developed his Southern accent for Boone and how he was inspired by Robin Williams to have a passion for trying different voices and how he trained to play a baseball player. I also talked to him about if Boone would have thrown the games for Tommy if he would have asked, why Tommy is now trying to protect him, and what else to expect form Boone this season.

The Rainmaker airs Tuesdays on USA.
