On Diarra From Detroit season 2, Diarra is hired to to find a missing desk by her boyfriend’s Chris’ uncle. Her friends, Aja and Tea, are along for the ride again while they try to figure out their own relationship hangups and solve business problems.

Diarra From Detroit celebrated its new season with an ice cream truck at San Diego Comic Con and creator and star Diarra Kilpatrick speaking on the Malcolm and Friends panel.

The series stars Diarra Kilpatrick, DomiNque Perry, Bryan Terrell Clark and Jon Chaffin with Shannon Wallace, Phylicia Rashad and Harry Lennix returning. The new season also features guest stars Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Morris Chestnut, Glynn Turman, Bokeem Woodbine, Amber Riley, Lil Rel Howery, Lovie Simone, Shoniqua Shandai, Nicco Annan, Skilla Baby, Icewear Vezzo, Chris “CP” Powell, and Jude Demorest.

I talked to Bryan Terrell Clark, who plays Tea, and DomiNque Perry, who plays Aja, about why Tea and Aja go along with Diarra’s latest crazy adventure, why Tea is afraid of commitment, and if Aja can find love and not look at romantic relationships as a business partnership.

Diarra From Detroit is streaming on Paramount + with new episodes premiering Wednesdays.
