In season 2 of Diarra from Detroit, Diarra is on summer break, trying to solve a new mystery and evaluating her feelings for Chris. However, Danger, the person she also had chemistry with in season 2 is missing in Detroit. We soon find out his in the rural area of Blair, Michigan, attempting to start a new life.
Diarra From Detroit celebrated its new season with an ice cream truck at San Diego Comic Con and creator and star Diarra Kilpatrick speaking on the Malcolm and Friends panel.
The series stars Diarra Kilpatrick, DomiNque Perry, Bryan Terrell Clark and Jon Chaffin with Shannon Wallace, Phylicia Rashad and Harry Lennix returning. The new season also features guest stars Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Morris Chestnut, Glynn Turman, Bokeem Woodbine, Amber Riley, Lil Rel Howery, Lovie Simone, Shoniqua Shandai, Nicco Annan, Skilla Baby, Icewear Vezzo, Chris “CP” Powell, and Jude Demorest.
I talked to Diarra Kilpatrick, who plays Diarra, and Jon Chaffin, who plays Danger, about why they decided to keep Danger and Diarra apart this season and why Diarra feels the need to be in service to everyone and how that is a metaphor to the city of Detroit.
Diarra From Detroit is streaming on Paramount + with new episodes premiering Wednesdays.
