Selena Gomez was the musical guest on SNL this week, performing “Good For You”/”Same Old Love” and “Hands To Myself.”

I thought both performances were great. What I love about SNL performances is that you can hear songs with live instruments, something missing in a lot in the recorded version of songs. I liked the added element of the snapping fingers for “Good For You”/”Same Old Love.” I thought she was sensual and not too sexy. For instance “Hands To Myself” was sexy, however, wearing a slip instead of bra and panties she was still covered. I also liked that she used props and lighting to create a scene, which doesn’t happen a lot on SNL performances.
