Carly Rae Jepsen and Mansionair brought the Dedicated tour to the Chicago Theatre, entertaining an excited crowd covered in rainbows, glitter and Carly Rae Jepsen merchandise.
Mansionair was the opening act, and they was the perfect compliment to Jepsen. They are known for putting their own spin to electronic music, just like Jepsen is known to do that to pop music. They played a series of their hypnotizing songs that got the crowd excited and prepped for the saccharine sound of Carly.
Carly came out swinging. Wearing a gauzy floor length sheer red dress over high waisted briefs, she played her new confidence banger, “No Drug Like Me” and kept the momentum going with two of the energetic songs from Emotion, the title track and “Run Away With Me.”
Carly performed a good mix of songs from her catalog. She focused mostly on the new album and performed a large part of Emotions, but she also treated the crowd to her breakout hit “Call Me Baby” and her tongue in cheek song “Store” from Emotions Side B.
The show was amazing, Carly was captivating and she ended the night with “Cut To The Feeling” with confetti shooting everywhere. It perfectly encapsulated her energy and how she approaches life and love.
Carly Rae Jepsen merchandise was selling for $30 for t-shirts, $40 for long sleeve shirts and $50 for sweatshirts and hoodies. You can preview it below.
