What I Listened To-September 2020

Ice Cream-BLACKPINK with Selena Gomez

I’ve haven’t gotten into K-Pop, but this song may be the perfect introduction. It’s cute and sassy and I love the bubblegum pop (or is ice cream pop a better name?) mixed in with the K-Pop rap. I also love all the videos they have released with this song, especially the Zepeto dance.

TRAPSOUL-Bryson Tiller

When Bryson Tiller announced that it was the fifth anniversary, I had to revisit it. I forgot how much I loved this album! No skips, such a good album. Bryson recently talked about how he didn’t like his second album, so I’m hoping his upcoming work is something he’s proud of.

“Laugh Now Cry Later (feat Lil Durk)”-Drake

This came out in August but I’m still playing this as if it was just released. I love the line “Where do these n***** be at when they say they doin’ all this and all that?”
This song was on heavy rotation after their VMA performance of this song. I’ve always been a fan of Disclosure, so it was fun what these brothers and sisters came up with.

“Cheap Shot”-Ella Mai

Ella Mai really needs to come out with a new album! I loved her debut album. While “Shot Clock” got a lot of love, the other shot song, “Cheap Shot,” is such an underrated gem.
