To celebrate fresh pair of iis fifth anniversary, I decided to reflect on five different concerts. It was hard to narrow down favorites, but all of these were pretty monumental moments for me and this site. I can’t wait until concerts come back to share more moments with you.
Alessia Cara – Know-It-All Tour Chicago January 2016
The first concert I ever shot specifically for this website! I was so excited because I was literally emailing every artist that was coming to Chicago, and the fact that it was someone I was a huge fan of and was also the first post for this website, was really exciting.
I actually saw this show twice. Once in May and then in June. The person forgot to give me photo credentials, just the ticket the first time around so I went to the second show. I got some many crisps shots from this show. Funny enough Ella Mai was her opening act and wasn’t big then, but the following year she became huge!
I was in Chicago for a job interview and I brought my camera just in case a show came up. I found out about this show this day and got credentials within the hour. I had no idea when he was coming out on stage because he posted on Instagram a photo of him with Eminem in Detroit while I was in the venue in Chicago. He showed up about an hour or so later.
I was so excited when I got approved for this tour. I had to send in previous photos and everything to her publicist. This was my first stadium show. It was soooo hot outside, but the stadium had a tent so they had the AC on. I would have gotten a longer lens if I had known that we were going to be by her second stage, but regardless this was a monumental moment.
I’ve never seen Chris Brown live so I was pumped for this show. My family and I have always been a huge fan of his music. However, the train system had shut down, so I had to take two Ubers to get to United Center and rush to be on time. Luckily, it worked out! I was so mad I couldn’t stay for the whole show, but I got a lot of great pictures from this show.
