13: The Musical has gotten the movie treatment! The Broadways musical that launched the careers of Ariana Grande and Elizabeth Gilles is now taken by a new cast and stars Eli Golden as Evan, a New Yorker that has to move to suburban Indiana after his parents split right before his 13th birthday.

I talked to Eli about how he’s like Evan, how the movie was like a bar mitzvah for him, his favorite songs, and how we all have a “Lucy” in our life.
