The Big Door Prize is back with season two. Picking up right where season one left off, the citizens of Deerfield are taking the next step with the Morpho machine: seeing a video game version of themselves telling a story that they call “visions.” However, this further takes them on a different path of self-discovery, bringing some people closer and tearing others apart.
“The Big Door Prize” features an ensemble cast led by Emmy Award winner Chris O’Dowd, Gabrielle Dennis, Ally Maki, Damon Gupton, Josh Segarra, Crystal Fox, Sammy Fourlas, and Djouliet Amara.
Season two welcomes new and returning guest stars including Justine Lupe, Aaron Roman Weiner, Mary Holland, Patrick Kerr, Cocoa Brown, Carrie Barrett, Elizabeth Hunter, Jim Meskimen, Matt Dellapina, and Melissa Ponzio. I talked to creator David West Read about why he enjoys telling stories about small towns, why Cass and Dusty are taking a break, what he hopes his Morpho card would say, and telling Mr. Johson’s story.
Big Door Prize is now streaming and new episodes premiere Wednesdays on Apple TV +.
