On the final season of Outer Banks, Kiara is out to avenge JJ’s death by killing Groff, JJ’s murderer and his biological father. Groff also wants Kiara dead and the Blue Crown. The battle between Kiara and Groff leads to another globe trotting adventure with the Pogues. Things end with a boat battle and Kiara the victor, ultimately drowning Groff during a hurricane that also completely changes the Outer Banks forever.

I talked to J. Anthony Care, who plays Chandler Groff, about when he found out about Groff’s ending, what did Groff actually desire, Rafe and Groff’s similarities, how it was fun playing a villain, how he loved filming in Morocco and Charleston, and why shooting the death scene on the boat was challenging.
