As promised, Chance The Rapper had a plan by Monday.
After having a poor meeting with Govenor Rauner on Friday, Chance The Rapper held a press conference streamed live on Instagram on Monday at Westcott Elementary in Chicago’s South Side neighborhood of Englewood to discuss the financial crisis of Chicago Public School’s. After saying he has further discussions over the weekend with Rauner that did not go anywhere, Chance The Rapper has donated $1 million to Chicago Public Schools. His non-profit organization, Social Works, will donate $10,000 for every $100,000 that is donated. Money for the donations came for profits from his Spring tour.
Chance The Rapper called for other business to make donations.
